Olivia Palermo has been at Paris Fashion Week looking as stylish as ever. I love that she's dressed so simply but still looks so chic. The mix of skinny jeans, ivory shirt/blazer and red sandals work really well together.

The award show season is starting and I have to say I was really disappointed by the fashion turnout last night at the Emmys. There was a lot of boring on the red carpet. Despite the lack of any real fashion statements, here are a few of my favourites from the night:

KATE MARA was by far the best dressed of the night for me. She wore J. Mendel and looked stunning in the long sleeved dress with the dramatic slit.

ROSE BYRNE looked stunning in a pale pink Calvin Klein top and skirt.

CLAIRE DANES' Armani Prive dress was beautiful. I loved the dress. My only complaint was that she looked SO skinny and the dress was not very flattering in the chest department... Also, her hair was atrocious. ATROCIOUS. Overall, the dress was a winner though.

EMILIA CLARKE wore a pale blue Donna Karan dress with a futuristic silver belt. Her makeup was a little too dramatic but she really does look beautiful.

KERRY WASHINGTON wore an ethereal Marchesa gown. She looked flawless as usual. I heard a lot of complaints about this dress but I think she wears it well. It's definitely not my favourite look from her however she can really do no wrong.

KRISTEN CONNOLLY wore a chevron print Nicholas Oakwell with bell sleeves and a flared skirt. Paired with her makeup, the look was uber-stylish and stood out against a lot of boring looks (which was impressive given I have no idea what show she's on).

I finally picked up a copy of Grace Coddington's memoir Grace. I loved seeing a glimpse into her creative process and the dynamic between her and Anna Wintour in The September Issue. I can't wait to read the book. Has anyone else already ready it?

1. LA MER MOISTURIZING SOFT CREAM: There really is a reason why La Mer is such a cult classic. I've been using the Soft Cream (which is a lighter version of the classic cream) and it's wonderful. My skin has really never felt better!
2. SMASHBOX FADE TO BLACK PHOTO OP EYE SHADOW PALETTE: This new palette has a great range of wearable colours.
3. MAC MINERALIZE SKINFINISH in SOFT AND GENTLE: I bought this highlighter on the weekend and I love it. It gives my skin such a soft and luminous glow.
4. GUERLAIN 'METEORITES' PEARLS: I've had this on my wish-list forever. I've heard a lot of great things about it and it's always on all of the beauty editors must-have list. I really need to pick one up one of these days.
5. KERASTASE BAIN DE FORCE SHAMPOO and CIMENT ANTI-USURE CONDITIONER: I picked up this shampoo and conditioner last week and I love it! My hair feels incredible but it doesn't weigh it down.
6. YVES SAINT LAURENT SHOCKING BOLD FELT-TIP EYELINER PEN: This is my go-to pen for creating a cat-eye.
