I've been using Chanel's Vitalumiere Aqua for a few weeks now and I have to say I'm in love with this foundation. The sales associate described it as a very light foundation (similar to a tinted moisturizer) and the packaging says it has a new-generation texture with soft and evanescent ultra-fine fluid texture. I've been using the NARS Tinted Moisturizer lately and in comparison Vitalumiere Aqua offers slightly more coverage. What I like best about Vitalumiere Aqua is that it's really easy to build so you can easily get as much coverage as you need. And it's so light and natural that it just leaves your skin looking even, fresh and energized.

I'm loving this foundation so much, I'm thinking I might try out the Chanel Base Lumiere Illuminating Makeup primer as well. It's an oil-free primer that claims to even out and illuminate the complexion. I've been using the Make Up Forever primer exclusively for a few years so it would probably be good to test out something else... I've definitely been on a Chanel makeup kick lately. I'll let you know if I pick it up!

After posting my long and wavy hair inspiration photos from Pinterest, I thought I'd continue my hair inspiration posts with ballerina buns. Thanks to the invention of the sock bun, a perfect bun can be easily created by just about anyone who has enough length to their hair. And for days when you really don't want to wash your hair it's the perfect style. I have a great mesh 'bun' insert from H&M that's blonde so it matches my hair perfectly and bobby pins easily slide in.

The Gap had a 40% off sale last week so when I was picking up basics for Kingsley, I also ordered the Luxe Jersey Striped Henley in Grey for me. This is a great basic to wear along with jeans or to dress up with black pants and a fun blazer.

I picked up the Zara Fantasy Blazer in Red because I need this jacket in EVERY colour. LOL. This really one of the best jackets.

When I saw this Tibi jacket a few months ago I fell in love instantly. Unfortunately, it was crazy expensive...

Here it is on Olivia Palermo - so chic!

So imagine my delight when I found this Zara version of the jacket. Obviously it's not as fabulous as the Tibi one...but at $59.90 it's also 1/12th of the price. Now I just need to track one down... I've seen a number of bloggers wearing the Zara version and it's super cute. Here are some of my favourites:

Crystalin from In The City With Crystalin pairing it with boyfriend jeans and nude pumps.

Nancy from Adore to Adorn wearing it with red pumps and black pants.

Krystin at Suburban Faux-Pas pairing it with a white tee and statement necklace.

Stephanie from Lam In Louboutins pairing it with sandals, white tee and black pants.

Jenny from Crazy, Style, Love pairing the striped peplum jacket with a purple skirt and classic Chanel flap.

I discovered LOVEFRESH a year or two ago at French Nail Co. and have been using their products religiously ever since. Founded on the premise that you could have beautiful, glowing skin using all-natural products, LOVEFRESH products are synthetic preservative, paraben and petroleum free. Plus, they smell super yummy! There's a range of scrubs, lotions, body butters and body/hand washes that are available in 9 great scents - my favourites are the Key Lime Coconut, Vanilla, Pomegranate and Lemon Verbena.

I use the LOVEFRESH scrubs religiously. The Key Lime Coconut is my favourite. It's an all-natural,  super hydrating sugar scrub with botanical extracts and shea butter. Your skin is incredibly smooth and moisturized after using this. It's also gentle enough to use daily.

The Body Butters are a thick, rich formula packed with Aloe Vera, Chamomile, White Willow Bark and Calendula extracts.

The Body Lotions are extremely light and moisturizing. They have a rich, non greasy formula with vitamins A, C, D and E along with Kiwi and Cucumber extracts. I generally use the Key Lime Coconut or Vanilla.

The Body Wash is a staple for me as well. It uses spring water and natural extracts including Elder Flower and Chamomile. I use this as a hand wash and body wash and always have one beside the sink in the washroom. It makes me feel better knowing my little guy is washing his hands with a product that's free of harsh detergents. I'm using the Pomegranate Wash now but I've used the Pear and Lemon Verbena before and they're all great.

You can find LOVEFRESH products at a number of spas (including Stillwater, The 10 Spot and French Nails & Co in Toronto) or you can purchase online from their website.

After posting my Fall inspiration photos from Pinterest the other week, I thought I'd post some of the pictures I have in my Hair Inspiration board. You'll notice they're all long and wavy - easy super sexy beach hair. I've been obsessed with growing and having long hair since 9th grade when I chopped my hair off and had a horribly unflattering haircut. I was trying to recreate Drew Barrymore's Marilyn-esq hair style and it was awful (horribly, horribly awful). I've pretty much been growing my hair ever since (aside from a minor set back my 1st year in University when a hairdresser went rogue). My perfect 'hair moment' was definitely my wedding day. I've been trying to recreate the style/length ever since - LOL.

So what do you think about this style? Do you have a hair 'moment' you're chasing too?

After being on vacation the week before, this week felt pretty hectic. It was also a big week for special occasions - it was my grandmother's 90th birthday on Wednesday and my 9th wedding anniversary on Thursday - so there was a lot to celebrate! Here are a few snapshots:

Wearing my Zara horse print blouse with my Hermes and Tiffany bracelets

A much needed glass of wine after work

9 Years

Flowers :-)

Caramel Crunch - my favourite! My DH knows the way to my heart.

Kingsley acting silly at my grandmother's 90th birthday party. He's wearing a Tommy Hilfiger plaid shirt, GAP jeans (these are the cutest worn-out wash) and his red Chucks

Kingsley's new kicks - a pair of old school Adidas Superstars.

We went to Skyzone Sports (an in-door trampoline center) with the Cherry Pie Twins crew. The kids loved the trampoline (big surprise)!

My DH and Kingsley jumping!

Ice Cream on Sunday night - yummy!

I started watching Friday Night Lights last week and I am CRAZY for not watching the show years ago. I'm just finishing up Season 2 and I am obsessed! I pretty much love everything but I am especially in love with brooding, tortured Tim Riggins (seriously OBSESSED). I'm not even half way through all of the episodes but I really don't want it to end!

I hope everyone else has had a great weekend! Texas Forever!
