I am obsessed with all things Miu Miu right now. The entire line is perfection! It's playful, fashion-forward and incredibly chic. Here are some of my favourites for Fall/Winter.
This leather hobo bag is fabulous! So cool! It's an amazing statement piece.
This Matelasse leather bag is fantastic! I want it SO bad. I love that it has a longer shoulder strap and a shorter handle. The braided detailing and gold hardware is great. Love it! It also comes in a cream colour but I really wish they made it in a chestnut brown.
How perfect is this leopard-print shearling bag?!?! This clutch would transform any outfit into instant chic.

These suede strappy platform sandals are fierce! The pale pink is so flattering and the platform/colour combined will instantly elongate your legs.

Aren't these the coolest motorcycle boots ever? Love them!

These little black suede booties are HOT!

This frill sweatshirt is so cool. It's casual but the ruffle hem completely transforms it.

What do you think? Are you as in love with all things Miu Miu as I am?

Gwyneth Paltrow was in Nashville earlier this week for the premiere of Country Strong in this A-M-A-Z-I-N-G dress! I'm not in love with the shoes but this dress stunning.

I'm sorry that I've been MIA for so long. I thought the upcoming release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt 1 was the perfect reason to get back to blogging. Less than a week left until the movie is released. I can't wait but it also makes me very sad to think that it will all be over soon - no more books to look forward to and after next year no more movies either. Ugh - I can't even think about it. I love the photo below of the Potter kids with JK Rowling. Emma's dress is so fun, so playful and so sexy (without being slutty) - LOVE IT!

Michelle Williams wore an AMAZING Jason Wu dress to the Venice Film Festival. I absolutely love this dress. So ladylike and beautiful!

I found so many gorgeous sweaters for Fall at Shopbop and thought I would share some of my favourites. I'm sad to see the end of Summer but have to admit that Fall is my favourite time of year. Fall shopping is the BEST!
This HHN by Haute Hippie Hooded Cardigan is fantastic. I love the casual hood and can actually picture myself running around in this in Oct/Nov.

This Jarbo Long Duster Cardigan is perfect for Fall. I love the colour and it looks really comfortable.

This Alice + Olivia Ombre Drape Cardigan is fantastic! I love, love, love the wrap around collar and that you can wear it open. It also comes in a light army colour which I really like too.

I'm in love with a lot of Alice + Olivia pieces right now for Fall. Here are a few of my favourites - they all have a bit of sparkle.

This Alice + Olivia Evan Sequin Stripped Sweater is a fantastic piece for Fall. I love that you could wear it casually or dress it up.

Alice + Olivia's Tiered Lace Skirt is so pretty. Unfortunately, I'm on a clothing ban until I've lost all of my baby weight but this is on the top of my list for once I hit my goal. It would look fantastic with black tights and a black sweater during the Holidays.

I love this Steph Sequin Jersey Cardigan. It would look amazing with jeans and a tank. So pretty!

Hello! I have to start by apologizing for my lengthy (and unexpected) absence. My Petite Dauphin decide to arrive 3 weeks early and I was caught a little off-guard. We're starting to get into a routine now and I'm already starting to think about Fall fashion so I thought I'd pull together an early Fall wish-list. Let me know what you think! I'm not sure how regularly I'll be posting moving forward but I definitely won't let this much time pass again - promise.

Anthropologie has two jackets that I'm currently obsessing over: the Well-Wisher Jacket and the Biker Melange Jacket. I love the ruffle and military-detail on the Well-Wisher Jacket.
The Snood - you know how obsessed I was with the Snood last Winter. I'm in love with the newest version from Burberry that comes in a wool and cashmere-blend. It's the perfect casual/luxurious mix.

This Beaded Swag Bib Necklace is fantastic. It'll look fantastic with a t-shirt or a little black dress. It also comes in yellow which I love.

I want all of these lady-like blouses for Fall. I'm going to ignore the fact that I have a new-born and he'll probably spit up on most of my clothes. My favourite blouse (which I've already pre-ordered) is the Silk Ribbons Blouse from Emmersonmade. The black and white dot silk blouse is the perfect lady-like blouse with mother-of-pearl buttons for the sleeve, collar and front closures - LOVE. I'm also lusting after the yellow Flowering Pasture Blouse and Rochelle Blouse from Anthropologie.

The Frayed Boundary Racerback tank will look fantastic under little jackets and sweaters this Fall.

My love for J.Crew jewellery is well known and this Crystal Pebble Necklace is another one of my favourites.

These Jimmy Choo Private Patent-Leather Sandals are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I am obsessed. They obviously aren't really for Fall but I had to add them to my wish list because they're so fantastic. And they would be unbelievably flattering. Love them!

Well, that's it for now. It's still July so I'm sure there will be quite a few more items to add to the Fall wish list in the coming weeks.

La Dolce Vita posted about the new Roberta Freymann by Olivia Palermo Collection of necklaces and I've been obsessed ever since. Olivia always has the most amazing 'statement' necklaces and she doesn't disappoint with these. This new collection consists of gorgeous necklaces made out of silk and glass beads. They're all named after Olivia's favourite neighbourhoods in cities throughout the world. My favourite is the blue, clear and white Tribeca necklace! I WANT!

I've been a horrible blogger lately - sorry! I've been so busy running around that I haven't been able to find time to actually sit down and do a proper blog post! I promise to do another reno/house purchases update soon - I just need to complete some of the finishing touches. Our new couches/chairs for the living room have been ordered and should be here in another 4-6 weeks (probably post-baby which is crazy). We decided to go with a Lee Industries slipcovered sofa and chairs in white. Aside from house stuff, I have picked up a few other things lately so here's the run down...
Tory Burch's Eddie flats are SO comfortable! I haven't bought these yet but I've ordered a yellow pair and they should arrive in the next week. I think they'll be perfect for running around after the bambino this summer. I love the camel colour as well but they only have purple and yellow at Holts...
I bought this Elizabeth and James ruched-sleeve blazer in white (the only photo I could find was in taupe) for my baby shower. I think it'll look great post-baby with jeans!

I bought the Free Flow tank from Anthropologie to wear post-baby. I debated between the beige and the navy for quite a while before picking up the beige. I love them both but decided I'd wear the beige more this Summer.

I absolutely fell in love with the Nanette Lepore Rogue Jacket when I saw it a few weeks ago. The navy/white/camel pinstripes are adorable but the puff sleeve detailing and floral lining really make this blazer. BTW - it's also one of Rachel Zoe's picks on Piperlime!

I also bought an amazing black LINE leather jacket that I'll post about soon. I can't find any photos online and haven't had a chance to take a photo of the jacket so I'll save it for another post.

That's it for now. I hope everyone had a great weekend! xoxo

I'm so sorry for my extended leave of absence! Things have been SO busy with all of the renos. I promise to post an updated Recent Purchases (home edition) soon and will post some before/after photos as well. In the meantime, I was browsing Anthropologie tonight and absolutely fell in love with all of their new necklaces. Here are a few of my favourites - they're all perfect accessories for Spring!

Double Toursade Necklace - I love the turquoise/mint colour of this necklace. It would look perfect with a fun Spring dress or dressed down with jeans and a t-shirt. And can you believe it's only $38 CDN?

Flicker, Flicker Necklace is the most expensive of the ones I've highlighted but it is definitely a great statement piece. Love it!

So the renos continue and the house is still upside down. I have a million things to do (I still haven't decided on a new sofa/chair but we're making progress). Here's an update on some of my recent purchases for the house/reno:

I have a LOT of things to decide on for the baby's room still but one decision I have made is the crib. We've ordered the Pottery Barn Larkin crib (which I love). I've decided to go with a vintage white dresser as a change table (which I order from Chatelet on Saturday but it'll be a while before it's finished - before and after photos to come). I still need to decide on paint colour for the room, a chair/ottoman (all I know is I'm going with white) and a side table but progress has been definitely been made...

I fell in love with these adorable throw pillows after seeing them on Life In The Fun Lane. They're from SaSea on Etsy (which is an amazing site if you haven't discovered it yet). SaSea is actually having a buy 2 get 1 free sale so I also ordered the Queen Bee pillow. I'm going to have to pick up some 16x16 pillow inserts for them though.

I never thought I'd say this but I'm SO happy to be able to wash dishes in my kitchen sink again! For the last two weeks we haven't had a countertop in our kitchen and the sink has been disconnected - we've been washing dishes in our laundry room sink. Well, our new granite countertop was installed last week and the sink/faucet was installed on Saturday. Our new faucet has 3 different settings and I'm a little obsessed with it (LOL). We are in the process of painting the kitchen, finding hardware for the cabinets and the backsplash still needs to be installed but having a countertop and sink again feels like a big deal.

I picked up two of the monogramed mugs from Anthropologie. They're SO cute! Don't mind the background - the backsplash should be installed this weekend (yay!)

Talking about the's the backsplash tiles we've decided to go with in the kitchen. The colour/texture matches the tile we've put on the kitchen floor and I think it'll be a great contrast to our chocolate brown/black granite countertops. We're still painting the cabinets (well, DH is) but we're hoping the backsplash should be installed this weekend (fingers crossed).

When I saw the Estate Crystal Ball drapery hardware collection at Restoration Hardware I couldn't help but pick it up for our bedroom. Technically, I didn't NEED to buy a new drapery rod for the bedroom but the crystal balls will match our lamps perfectly - I couldn't help myself!

I needed to get new frames to replace a few that had been damaged so picked up some white ones from Home Sense. I bought two of the ornate frames and I'm going to save one for a photo of the baby (the other one is for a photo of our pooch W).

After quite a debacle (bringing two chandeliers home that were different colours and having to go back 2x) our chandeliers are finally up. I'm absolutely in love with them! This is a photo of the one over our bed.

And this is a photo of the chandelier at the other end of the room in front of our closet.

I ordered a new mirrored tissue box cover and tray from The White Company. I forgot to take a photo of the tissue box cover though...

I also picked up some new accessories for the bathroom - a new tooth brush holder and shower curtain hooks from Restoration Hardware and mirrored soap dispensers and containers from Home Outfitters.

Okay - next up I'll likely post about my search for a sofa... stay tuned!
L xoxo
