OBSESSED: ITEM OF THE DAY

I've been searching for a flattering pair of boyfriend jeans for a really long time. Samantha and I have actually had numerous conversations on the issue. She's been very anti-boyfriend and tried to convince me not to buy a pair in the past. Well, that was before she discovered the Paige Denim Jimmy Jimmy Boyfriend jeans. She's now a convert and I'm obsessed with the amazing fit of these structured, flattering boyfriend jeans. They look comfortable but are super stylish at the same time. I just ordered a pair in this dark gray colour.

OBSESSED: ITEM OF THE DAY

I've talked about my obsession with YSL lipsticks and glosses in the past but I just tried the new Gloss Volupte and it's a new favourite. The sheer gloss stick is uber moisturizing, contains Pomegranate extract and has a fresh Mango scent. It comes in four colours - Iced Lychee, Chilled Raspberry, Frozen Cherry and Frosted Plum (all are very wearable and pretty universal colours). You can wear the sheer colour alone (it's almost like a tinted lip balm but with a great non-sticky gloss) or you can layer it on top of lipstick for a glossy shine.

NEW MOON STYLE

The Twilight Saga: New Moon premiered in LA last night and there were some good and some really bad red carpet looks. Here's the run down:

LOVE: Robert Pattinson looked great in Gucci. If his tie was any skinnier he would have been on my hate list (see Taylor Lautner below) but this worked.

HATE: Ashley Greene decided to dress like she was going to the Golden Globes instead of the New Moon premiere.

LOVE: Nikki Reid was the best dressed of the night. She wore a kick a*s Burberry dress with Christian Louboutin shoes. LOVE!

LOVE: Dakota Fanning wore a Valentino dress (which I love) and red D&G shoes. She looks a little like she's playing dress up but it's still pretty great.

LOVE: Charlie Bewley - this guy is seriously cool. Not many people can pull off a Jean Paul Gaultier suit like this.

LOVE: Anna Kendrick wore a really fun multi-coloured one-shoulder mini with Miu Miu heels.

HATE: Kristen Stewart wore an Oscar de la Renta prom dress. Excuse me, I just vomited a little in my mouth. Ugh - after seriously rocking some fun looks on the New Moon world tour (remember that fantastic dress from Madrid?) she showed up in LA looking like she was attending the Forks prom and she wanted to be a serious contender for prom queen.

HATE: Taylor Lautner wore Calvin Klein. His suit gets a hate from me because of the horrible skinny tie. The pants look a bit funny too.

Blake Lively attended a screening of the Private Lives of Pippa Lee in NY wearing a jacket that kicks some serious a*s. Obviously a bit risque but spectacular! I will dream about this jacket tonight and every night for the rest of the week. It's Marchesa and probably ridiculously expensive but worth every penny - start saving!

MOCA NEW 30TH ANNIVERSARY GALA

The MOCA NEW celebrated it's 30th anniversary with a gala event in LA. Here's a recap of the fashionistas who attended the event.

Eva Mendes looked great. I think this dress is fantastic.

Chloe Sevigny in a very odd number...not really sure what's going on here.

Kate Bosworth wore a super fun patterned mini.

Carey Mulligan in a stunning beaded sheath. LOVE IT!

Jessica Alba in one of the most hideous pairs of shoes I've seen in a long time - brutal! The dress is boring but fine.

Rachel Zoe in a great white/black/grey patterned column dress.

Kristen Stewart wore a black leather and mesh Elizabeth & James dress to the Madrid premiere of Twilight New Moon. I love this dress! And the red Christian Louboutins are fantastic. I couldn't resist including a photo of her with Rob and Taylor - just try to ignore Kristin's helmet hair and Taylor's vest.

'THE' PARTY DRESS

I received an email from Net-A-Porter today detailing the newest Herve Leger pieces in stock and I'm still drooling over this dress. It's the ultimate LBD for the holiday party circuit. Instead of visions of sugar plums, I'll be dreaming about this sequined bandage dress instead.

SPECIAL REQUEST - EMERGENCY POST

I just received a distressed email from Sam C asking me to post on Jessica Biel's latest disaster of an outfit. Here's Sam's review of Jessica's look:

'When I saw this picture of Jessica Biel I felt so violated by her outfit it compelled me to write you and plea for you to smear her on your fashion blog. HAHA. Ok no, seriously though take a look. It's so wrong all over - from the earrings to the blazer with that t-shirt, awkward skirt and absolutely HORRIFIC shoes to match the whole look. How is she dating JT and dressing like this? No stylist? FAIL. No surprise, Biel always dresses to disappoint, but as JT's girlfriend she should know better."

I've got to agree with Sam. This look is beyond tragic. It's disturbing that someone with all of the connections (seriously JT is one of the most stylish guys out there) can always look so wrong. I don't think she's ever worn an outfit that I've liked. I actually like some of the pieces that she's wearing here but put together it's a horrible combination. I have a soft spot for Roger Vivier flats but not with this outfit. Good thing she's got such a great body! It's the only thing going for her.

So what do you think? Do you agree or disagree with our thoughts on Jessica's outfit?

FLAWLESS

Demi Moore is featured in the latest issue of W Magazine. Um, seriously how is this fair? She is stunning! Absolutely flawless - a freak of nature but still absolutely flawless. I can't wait to read the article. So far one of the best lines that's emerged is Demi's preference to be called a 'puma' rather than a 'cougar' - LOL. Can't wait!

A FAMINE OF BEAUTY

Samantha and I went to go see The September Issue today. It was just released in Canada (about 2 months after it was released in the US - ugh) and isn't playing in many theaters. Overall review is it was definitely worth the wait. Anna Wintour is beyond fabulous - the fear she inspires, the perfection she demands, the power she yields - The September Issue was a inspired look at the behind-the-scenes development of fashions most influential magazine and it's matriarch. I was surprised by how much Anna revealed in the movie and how much credit was given to others (i.e. Grace Coddington's creative genius was beautifully displayed and her love/hate working relationship with Anna was fascinating to watch). The movie even had moments of comic relief. Samantha and I both agreed that the best part of the movie was Andre Leon Talley's tennis lesson where he showed up with Louis Vuitton luggage (for his water bottles), a Louis Vuitton tennis racket cover, Louis Vuitton towel and vintage diamond tennis watch. If you haven't seen the movie yet, I would highly recommend it!
