Sad news today - John Hughes, the mastermind behind the 80s cult classics Sixteen Candles, Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Pretty In Pink passed away. We all have defining moments and memories from our youth that seem to shape our consciousness and John Hughes' films played a huge role in mine growing up. After all these years, Sixteen Candles is still my favourite movie. When Samantha comes out of the church and sees Jake - I die a little! Such an amazing moment! With John passing I thought it would be a good time to celebrate these defining moments. I know I'll be watching Sixteen Candles this weekend!

  1. That's so sad!

Ferris Buellers Day Off is one of my all time favourites, so much so, that I named my dog Ferris.

  2. That's soo sad
    RIP John Hughes
