Karl Lagerfeld has created an exquisite custom tutu for ballet superstar Elena Glurdjidze. It's a Chanel tutu made of over 2,500 feathers. It took three seamstresses at Chanel's Lemarie atelier more than 100 hours to create this work of art. Oh - and Karl filmed an impromptu performance of Elena's The Dying Swan and put it up on Chanel.com. So beautiful!

  1. Amazing. I'm so glad Lagerfeld is keeping the couture artis(t)an tradition going. I hope we never lose that small group of magicians who can create a piece of wearable art feather by feather.
